In 2020, the UEFA EURO will celebrate its 60th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, the tournament will be played out in 12 different European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. To make all this possible, we need fantastic, dedicated people in all sectors.

As part of the Technical Services & Overlay team, the Venue Technical Manager is responsible for implementing the technical services and overlay subprojects at one of the 12 UEFA EURO 2020 venues. Together with the local Venue Technical Coordinator and appointed suppliers, the Venue Technical Manager ensures correct delivery of power supply, tents, scaffolding, TV and media tribunes, TV studios and platforms, sound systems, light and video, water, temperature control, venue TV, waste management, H&S and other services.

After six weeks of training at UEFA headquarters in Nyon in November/December 2019, the Venue Technical Manager will be allocated one of the 12 venues to oversee the delivery and event, with the support of the core Technical Services & Overlay planning team in Nyon.


- Managing the on-site implementation of subprojects of the UEFA EURO 2020 Technical Services & Overlay project;
- Acting as line manager for the Venue Technical Coordinator;
- Establishing a good working relationship with the stadium operator and managing the stadium part of the Technical Services & Overlay subprojects;
- Managing appointed suppliers to ensure they deliver contracted services;
- Running the Technical Services & Overlay subprojects for all matches at the venue;
- Troubleshooting issues and responding to requests that arise day to day.


Experience required:
- from 4 to 6 years / Experience in organising larger events
- from 1 to 3 years / Experience in a leading technical role at larger events
- less than 1 year / Experience in a leading technical role at major events

- Technical Diploma Any technical diploma, not necessarily directly related to the work of the Technical Services & Overlay team, in connection with the required event experience
- Other Any technical training, not necessarily directly related to the work of the Technical Services & Overlay team, in connection with the required event experience
- Other Other training related to the required event experience

- English / Proficient

Additional requirements:
- CAD (AutoCad) / Intermediate
- MS Excel / Intermediate
- MS PowerPoint / Intermediate
- MS Project / Intermediate
- MS Word / Intermediate
- Project Management / Advanced
- Any other languages of the participating host countries would be an asset
- Open minded character; very good communication skills

- Strong personality
