Job Description

To support our Communications Division, FIFA is looking to recruit an analytical and flexible      

Technical Product Manager        

Your duties

  • Responsible for FIFA user management
  • Collaborating with the internal team of product owners to coordinate the development, maintenance and evolution of FIFA Digital backend platforms
  • Responsible for project resource allocation, risk management, project priorities, communication to program management and providing management with forecasts of project deliverables
  • Planning, prioritising and overseeing the development and content of the FIFA Digital Communications content management system
  • Seamless and efficient integration of data from FIFA’s database and third-party sources
  • Optimising the presentation of data with a special focus on the “live match” experience
  • Responsible for the content delivery network and security protection of FIFA.com and the FIFA Official App
  • Overseeing both the day-to-day and tournament operations to distribute data to approved third parties
  • Supporting software development activities, UAT and deployment processes to deliver compelling digital products

Our requirements    

  • University degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant experience
  • Minimum eight years of experience working in the delivery of mission-critical digital products throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, implementation, QA/UAT and deployment activities
  • Proven experience in technical product management of high-profile, mass-audience, public-facing static and dynamic digital media production systems
  • Ability to lead and understand the overall digital production system architecture interfaces to client systems and applications, feature enhancements, managing dependencies with internal and external delivery partners
  • Proven experience in online content management systems and in both relational and NoSQL databases
  • Proven experience in building, maintaining and managing consumption of complex cloud-based web-service architectures, and knowledge of related principles, concepts and technologies including REST, SOAP, XML, JSON
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), German and other languages also an advantage
  • Experienced in Agile software development methods, documentation/wiki and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong attention to detail with a sense of pride and ownership over the quality of the product
  • A firm sense of accountability and good communication skills
  • Flexible as working hours include some evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
