Main goal:

The Competition Uniform Manager works within the Brand Production Team, focusing specifically on casual event uniforms for all UEFA competitions and events. The Competition Uniform Manager is responsible for the sourcing and production of a variety of clothing requests that fall under the team's purview.

Key responsibilities:

* The position has two direct reports: two Brand Production Assistants/Coordinators, one already hired, and one to start in March 2023 to help with UEFA EURO 2024
* Managing the production of uniforms, from concept to delivery, including casual event-branded uniforms for staff, media, suppliers, and volunteers, bibs for players, stewards, media and pitch access control, player badges for team jerseys, as well as other staff uniforms such as signage crew and hospitality staff apparel and host and hostess uniforms, depending on the competition
* Compiling the list of event target group sizes, defining priorities for adaptations to match orders, preparing packing lists and labels
* Twice a year, managing the VIK (value in kind) casual uniform day, showcasing the latest range of apparel collections from sponsors to project leaders within UEFA for events staged the following season
* Close coordination with other UEFA units that are involved with or represent stakeholders in the uniform projects
* In cooperation with the Procurement Unit, running the call for tender, bidding process, vendor selection and contracting stages for all competitions where there is no sponsor/partner appointed for casual uniforms, bibs, signage uniforms and host and hostess uniforms
* Leading the UEFA EURO 2024 casual uniform project starting in November 2022, researching more sustainable clothing options with the appointed sponsor as well as working with UEFA's in-house IT unit to streamline the collection of 16,000 volunteer uniform sizes
* Drawing up project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource planning and all other necessary information, and ensuring these are always up to date for the various competitions and events
* Creating purchase orders and following up on invoicing and payments
* Logistics management for procured items, dealing with deliveries, stock-management and event loading lists
* Cross-team working with UEFA's in-house Event Logistics team and external warehouse
* Additional project or procurement activities based on Brand Production needs


Profile:

Experience required:
- more than 7 years / experience in a multicultural business environment
- from 4 to 6 years / experience of working in similar merchandising and clothing position
- from 4 to 6 years / experience in project management and staff management

Education:
- Bachelor's or equivalent qualification, preferably in project management, merchandising or equivalent retail experience

Languages:
- English / Advanced
