Mission
The Football Planning & Services Unit identifies, designs, and implements ways to improve the overall planning, delivery, regulations relevance and overall project management competencies for competitions with a view to optimising cooperation, quality, and resources. The unit delivers services related to planning, bids, regulations, operational procedures, and measurement for all UEFA competitions. The head of the Football Planning & Services Unit has the overarching responsibility for achieving the above goal, optimising the use of resources, and managing the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Football Division director in all matters related to the unit’s mission;
- Coordinating the planning, drafting and publishing of UEFA regulations and UEFA competition manuals (operational procedures for individual matches) by providing the appropriate processes and tools and giving advice and support to stakeholders;
- Managing all bidding procedures and host appointments for the finals and final phases of UEFA competitions;
- Maintaining an integrated calendar centralising all key dates for competitions and institutional events;
- Compiling football metrics for all UEFA competitions.
- Setting up and maintaining the planning and dashboards necessary for managing the division;
- Acting as the division’s key contact person for IT and governance projects;
- Setting up and managing the division’s project portfolio;
- Supporting the Football Division director in organisational matters;
- Leading projects involving several Football Division units;
- Reporting to the Football Division director and helping to achieve the objectives he sets for the division and the

Football Planning & Services Unit;
- Assuming hierarchical and administrative responsibility for the unit’s staff;
- Managing the unit’s budget.

Profile of successful candidate
Experience required:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing large and complex projects
- A minimum of 5 years in managing hierarchical, administrative and budget responsibilities
- A minimum of 5 years of experience at dealing with senior management
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT domain

Education:
- Master’s degree
Languages:
- English / Proficient
- A good level of French and/or German

Additional requirements:
- MS Office / Advanced

- Ability to adopt a strategic view, take decisions and act promptly
- Good communication, negotiation and networking skills
- Good analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to delegate and oversee activities
