Mission :

One of the key roles of the Commercial Operations unit is to organise the commercial operations rights delivery at all season matches of the UEFA Nations League, European qualifiers and friendly matches.

The Commercial Operations Coordinator supports the manager of the team and coordinates the tasks, projects or subprojects delegated to him/her. This involves ensuring that UEFA commercial partners adhere to operational procedures and guidelines, and actively delivering commercial rights for the aforementioned national team competitions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Planning and overseeing the correct implementation of the broadcast partners rights at all UEFA Nations League, European qualifiers and friendly matches matches in accordance with their contractual agreements;
  • Serving as one of the key contacts for the operational management of the national team competitions pool of Venue Operations and Broadcast Managers (VOBM);
  • Working in close cooperation within the unit, football operations, marketing, TV operations, communications, other relevant UEFA departments and UEFA’s agencies;
  • Coordinating and preparing documentation, content of manuals, guidelines and procedures; reporting and archiving;
  • Coordinating content for venue workshops, training and briefings;
  • Coordinating specific tasks and projects in the unit;
  • Setting up and monitoring ICT platforms to ensure tools are fully available and functional for all users;
  • Handling planning, budget and organisational administration for VOBM-related tasks;
  • Coordinating with certain suppliers or partners in the specific domains;
  • Helping to produce key operational documents;
  • Providing back-office support before and during matchweeks: match centre support, VOBM hotline, ticketing, etc.;
  • Using his/her organisational skills and methodology to ensure that all elements of the job are delivered to the required standards and reliability, and according to all applicable rules, guidelines or regulations.

Profile of successful candidate :

  • Experience required:
    • from 4 to 6 years of experience in sports marketing, event management, at an international level with close venue involvement
    • from 1 to 3 years experience of the TV broadcasting environment (for a rights holder, broadcaster or an agency), ideally at international events
  • Languages:
    • English / Advanced
  • Additional requirements:
    • Computer literate, familiar with ICT platform usage Proficient in Outlook, Office and other proprietary software
    • Pragmatic, communicative, able to multitask in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
    • Able to provide outstanding results under pressure; attentive to detail but with an eye on the big picture,;able to maintain confidentiality; multicultural, independent, positively minded, witty and charismatic
    • Client-orientated with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Good spoken and written communication skills
    • Able to apply strict business rules and follow guidelines
    • Available to travel (10–20%)
    • Good knowledge of sport in general and football in particular
